Tool Introduction

RD enhanced circulation valve is a disposable full bore circulation valve used for annular pressure operation in casing wells. This tool is mainly used for reverse circulation well control after oil and gas well testing is completed. The RD reinforced circulation valve mainly consists of a power part and a circulation part. During the drilling and testing process, the shear core shaft is in the upper limit position and the circulation hole is in the closed position; After the test is completed, the annulus is pressurized to the rupture pressure of the rupture disk, the downward circulation hole of the core shaft is opened, the oil sleeve is connected, and the circulation well is pressurized.

Structural characteristics

① The design of the air chamber gives it high strength and can withstand an absolute pressure of at least 200MPa;

② Using a rupture disc instead of a shear pin ensures accurate and reliable operating pressure;

③ The shearing mechanism can ensure that the tool status is not affected by the dynamic pressure during the downhole process;

④ Connected to the lower part of the test valve, it can be used for squeezing well operations;

⑤ There are 4 circulation holes with a large flow area.

The operating pressure of the reinforced safety circulation valve is usually set within the range of 1000-1500psi above the operating pressure of other tools. The reinforced circulation valve is operated by the annular pressure acting on the rupture disk. The annular pressure is applied to break the shear pin of the rupture disk, and at the same time, the downward circulation hole of the core shaft is opened, which controls the communication between the inside and outside to achieve circulation well control.
