Tool Introduction:

The X and XN type seated joints are inserted into the well along with the completion string, providing precise seating positions for downhole flow control tools. The X and XN type seated short joints are suitable for standard pound grade tubing.

During well completion, multiple equally spaced short sections can be inserted in any order on the tubing string as needed, providing any number of positions within the tubing string for positioning and locking downhole flow control tools. The flow control tool and the matching locking spindle are carried down into the well together by a wire carrying human tool.

Structural features:

① Polishing sealing cylinder, the V-shaped seal is not easily damaged when passing through;

② The same material and size as the oil pipe specification will not produce throttling effect;

③ The NO-GO shoulder with a smaller inner hole at the lower part of the XN type joint can prevent steel wire tools from falling into the well and being lost;

④ Multi functionality can reduce well completion and production maintenance costs.

Operation:

The wire worker can use the corresponding down tool to position the flow control tool on a designated short section at a predetermined depth. If the location is not suitable or the well condition changes, the flow control tool can be lifted or lowered onto another suitable short section inside the pipe string through wire work, and this process does not require well killing.

The XN type seating short section is used in situations where a single seating short section is used, and can also be used at the bottom of an X-type seating short section string. For the same specification of tubing string, the inner diameter of the XN type and X-type short joint is the same. (N represents the stop short section).
